Chapter 6

Chapter 6
Chapter 6 is about motivating the students by showing that you care and are passionate about what you are doing. Students may not want to be at school, but they do realize the importance of it, and understand that it affects their future. It is important as an educator, that you keep students from being bored and day dreaming their way through school. Several ways to do this, is by showing passion towards your subject area, apply issues that affects the students, make real world connections, work in groups, make sure they understand, provide role-models, and show interest and care about their questions and progress. It is important to understand that the student’s accomplishments are also the teachers. Teachers who can hook their students and motivate them to learn the material, are setting up students to succeed which is a great reflection of them as educators.
